Madina group are installing Dry Fractionation Plant which is also new addition in the Ghee and Oil Industry. This plant will take RBD as its base oil (Raw Material) and will produce Palm Olein and Palm stearin. The palm olein having very low melting point can be used as cooking oil medium which is cholesterol free and has more shelf life as compared to other cooking oils.
The second product which is Palm stearin is used in industrial margarine and shortening which are commonly used in Bakery and confectionery. This is fully automatic unit and controlled by PLC.
This unit has an additional process which is called Interesterification. By using this method we will produce vegetable Ghee having grainy structure which is publically liked in sub continent. But The difference in conventional Process and this process is that in conventional process the Hydrogenation process is carried out in the presence of Nickle Catalyst to bring the oil into grain/ solid form which is injurious to health due to formation of trans fats during this process. But in new process no such catalyst is used.
The vegetable ghee manufactured through interesterification process will be absolutely free of any catalyst content and trans fats. |
